Printpalooza was a blast!

I had enormous fun at Printpalooza!, Saturday, April 14th at the Leepa-Ratner Museum of Art. Thanks to all my friends and family who came out to see it! We had a full room with a large crowd for etching demo and Sarah Dee’s monoprint demo. I really enjoyed seeing the work of Drive By Press and Sean Starwars, along with other fellow demo artists Gail Wynne and LInda Berghoff. The highlight of the day for me was hearing Joseph Velasquez’ lecture and slideshow on current trends in printmaking. I was hugely impressed with his range of knowledge and made some notes on new artists (for me…) to check out. (I also had Drive By Press print a “Unicorn Magic” t-shirt for me from one of their blocks, and Joseph signed it. I promise only to wear it ironically. 🙂

Many thanks to Lynn Whitelaw, Curator, and Patti Buster, Education Coordinator of the LRMA — and all of her hard-working staff, for creating and organizing such a terrific, printmaking-centered event!
